A financial institution with more than 250 branches in Mexico and a corporate headquarters in Germany was already using connectivity services from Flō Networks. However, the growth of its operations increased its requirements for capacity, availability, and resilience.
The organization operated a service from its corporate headquarters in Mexico to its cloud abroad, with an interconnection in the United States, under a 1+0 configuration and with limited capacity.
As its needs evolved, connectivity began to demand greater availability, service resilience, increased capacity, and operational continuity guarantees to support critical business applications.
Thanks to our existing business relationship with Flō, the existing infrastructure, the metropolitan network in Mexico’s major cities, and the AWS region in Querétaro, we were able to implement a solution quickly, with greater reliability and a clear advantage over other providers.
A robust architecture was designed in line with the model implemented by the corporate entity, eliminating data hosting in the United States and increasing capacity to support critical applications.
The strategy began with a new connection deployment and the migration of the connection previously hosted abroad, with the goal of hosting both links entirely within the Amazon region in Mexico.
Flō guaranteed 99.95% service availability per connection under the SLA, thereby enhancing the overall availability in the design and providing more stable, high-performance connectivity.
In addition, operational risk was significantly reduced in the event of fiber, equipment, or route failures with 1 Gbps connection designed to support business applications for the next four years and an architecture ready for growth.
With this connectivity architecture, the financial institution operates under strict performance, availability, and security standards aligned with the sector’s specific requirements and the guidelines of its global corporate headquarters.
